1. AWS Infrastructure Engineering - This person will need to have experience with building out and migrating environments into AWS. They will be migration application environments from Oracle Cloud to AWS, therefore if they have that specific experience that is a plus.
2. Linux - Sr. level experience with Linux systems administration/engineer as most of their applications are built on top of a Linux platform
3. Automation - They will be heavily focusing on automating the environment with regards to a scaling perspective to ensure the AWS environment/instance is running efficiently. They will be leveraging Cloudformation, Shell Scripts, Ansible and Python to do their automation.
Our customer is currently in process or migrating all applications that sit on Oracle Cloud over to their AWS environment. This specific team and organization does not currently have the proper experience within AWS to complete this successfully and on time, therefore this will create overspending due to lack of efficient cloud environment.
By migrating over to AWS from Oracle Cloud it will create a more consistent and efficient production environment. This will also reduce the amount of downtime as there will be replicated environments that will pick up bandwidth or get switched over to in the event of an outage.
Education technology (EdTech) industry is a growing field; Our customer supports all aspects of education from PreK to college and there will always be a demand for the latest and greatest technology. Our customer is going to expand and grow their presence in the Triangle market and you can be one of the individuals to join in this expansion. They will be changing the way that digital publishing happens and taking existing technologies from the content distribution network/space. If an individual brings a great idea to the table; they have no problem utilizing it; limited red tape to get new innovative ideas approved and new ideas are welcome!
