About the role
As a key member of the dynamic Cloud Services Team based onsite at the Homebush West corporate office, you will design, implement, and manage our Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform, with a focus on Azure API Management. Collaborating closely with integration and development teams, your primary focus will be to ensure the platform aligns with the organisation’s security, capacity, performance, and reliability standards, while delivering efficient and scalable cloud solutions.
Responsibilities include;
- Design & implement Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, Azure Firewall, storage accounts, Express routes, and other Azure services.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure our Azure infrastructure integrates seamlessly with our other IT systems.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the Azure API Management platform.
- Contribute to the Implementation of new integrations to internal and external endpoints.
- Maintain existing API Platform and adhere to standards and guidelines in the governance framework.
- Guide and drive the long-term evolution of the API platform through research, experimentation, and implementation of emerging technologies.
- Design and develop CI/CD pipelines for deployments using Azure DevOps workflows and YAML scripting.
- Monitor pipeline performance, identify bottlenecks, and continuously optimise deployment efficiency.
- Stay informed on Azure best practices and emerging trends in cloud computing.
About you
You will be an experienced API Integration DevOps Engineer with demonstrated expertise in working within Microsoft Azure ecosystems. You will also possess capability in cloud networking and a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and processes.
You will also have:
- Experience with API Management systems such as Azure API Management (APIM).
- Expertise in CI/CD principles, automation scripting and the ability to develop and support pipelines.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts (ARM templates, Azure Powershell, Azure CLI, Terraform, Bicep).
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and tools, such as App Services, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus.
- Experience in Microsoft Azure IaaS Monitoring and Management.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of API development.
- Familiarity with Azure Entra Identity and Access Management.
