This role is a vital part of the IT team at Sydney Diocesan Services. The IT function supports the organisation by managing technology infrastructure, ensuring cybersecurity, providing technical support, and enhancing IT efficiency and reliability.
About the role
As the Systems Administrator you will manage and enhance the organisations IT platforms, to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability, while supporting Salesforce development, integrations, and providing expert IT support. This will include:
- Manage Microsoft 365 and Azure, ensuring smooth operation, troubleshooting, user access, and security.
- Oversee Salesforce integrations, support non-IT staff with low-code solutions, collaborate on improvements, and assist developers.
- Monitor and maintain servers, cloud services, and network equipment for security and uptime.
- Provide advanced IT support, create a knowledge base for faster issue resolution, and work with the team to minimize downtime and improve system performance.

About You
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual with a passion for IT and systems management. The ideal candidate will have the following:
- In-depth knowledge and interest in a variety of technologies including infrastructure, networking, cloud, app development, digital and service delivery.
- Understanding of emerging technologies and their application for the organisation.
- Server infrastructure - full life cycle - including virtual servers and cloud services.
- Network infrastructure - firewall, router and switch configuration and management for optimal performance and security.
- Designing, supporting and developing for cloud platforms.
- Platform integration tools, process automation, and low-code development tools.
- Database management, information architecture.
Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
