Position Summary
Field Technicians provide customer-focused, efficient, and effective face-to-face support to Corsica clients and play a critical role in building trust and confidence. They ensure resolution of incidents and service requests are resolved which cannot be remotely.
Responsibilities
- Assist in resolution of onsite incidents to return service to clients as quickly as possible and participate in the onsite implementation of client change requests.
- To facilitate the above requirement, the incumbent is required to have a valid drivers license and a personally owned vehicle (POV) to transport hardware and tools.
- Work with the team to escalate incidents & service requests as directed.
- Maintain and update system documentation and service ticket records.
- Stay up to date on the latest technologies through ongoing education, training, self-learning, and professional certifications.

- Must have basic experience with each of the following:
- System hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Cloud solutions such as Office 365 and Google Apps.
- Networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Switches, firewalls, and wireless network devices.
- Active Directory and Group Policy administration.
- Experience with each of the following is a plus but not required:
- Advanced infrastructure, virtualization, and storage.
- Cloud-based datacenters such as Azure and AWS.
- Server applications such as SQL Server and RDS.
- Voice technologies and phone systems.
Education, Experience, and Certifications
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional ITSM experience.
Preferred:
- Associates degree in computer science or related field of study.
- MSP experience.
- Certifications from leading vendors such as Apple, CompTIA, or Microsoft.
Miscellaneous Position Information
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Covid Vaccine: Employees who make on-site service or sales calls in locations where state or local government(s) have mandated COVID vaccine(s) to enter a building, are required to provide proper proof of having the vaccine and booster as required by legislation.
Work Environment: In most cases, work will be performed in a climate-controlled office space.
Travel: This position requires no travel.
Position Type/Expected Hours:
- This is a full-time position for five, eight-hour days (40 hours total) per week with a flexible schedule that generally begins at 8:00 AM.
- Depending on client requirements, some projects may require:
- 24/7 “on call” availability.
- Working beyond normal work hours.
- Shifted work hours.
