Senior IT Administrator

Our world headquarters in Cincinnati has an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Administrator. The Senior IT Administrator role will report to the Vice President, Technology. The person in this role will contribute as a key member of the Technology Infrastructure team and participate in day-to-day administration of our key and critical systems.
To be successful in this role, you will help ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and cloud services, to supporting organizational goals and enhancing overall productivity. The Senior IT Administrator will implement and maintain robust security measures and compliance protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure adherence to industry regulations and best practices. They will also be responsible for staying abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for system enhancements and process improvements that align with OBF’s objectives and drive innovation.
Duties & Responsibilities Include:
- Administer and maintain Linux and Windows server operating systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability
- Manage VMware environments, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of virtual machines and related infrastructure
- Support and troubleshoot Cisco networking devices and services, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Administer MacOS systems and ensure compatibility with corporate infrastructure
- Provide day-to-day support and administration of IT systems and networks, including hardware and software
- Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
- Implement and manage backup solutions, including Veeam, to ensure data integrity and disaster recovery
- Utilize and support Archiware P5 software for data management and backup tasks
- Manage JAMF for MacOS device management and deployment
- Implement and analyze logging and monitoring solutions, including ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana)
- Ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Respond to security incidents and conduct regular vulnerability assessments
- Work closely with other IT team members and departments to address technical issues and support company objectives
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to ensure continuity and knowledge sharing
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend and implement improvements
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during off-hours as needed
Qualifications Include:
- 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role with significant expertise in Linux, Windows Server OS, VMware, Cisco networking, and MacOS
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online and licensing
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Linux+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are preferred
- Experience with Archiware P5 software for data management and backup
- Familiarity with JAMF for MacOS device management
- Knowledge of ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) for logging and monitoring
- Experience with SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) for single sign-on and identity management
- RedHat Certification (RHCE or RHCSA) for additional Linux expertise
