Job Description
The Information Technology (IT) Manager II, under direction, routinely manages large and complex IT project operations. Performs limited specialized, technical duties.
Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Systems Administration and Operation: Installs, operates, upgrades, and configures infrastructure system hardware and software. Assists with the implementation of new infrastructure systems or upgrades. Conducts basic infrastructure performance analyses and tuning. Creates programs for automating infrastructure system administration.
Problem Management: Helps analyze infrastructure system logs and identifies potential issues with systems. Troubleshoots and repairs hardware and software for infrastructure systems; troubleshoots and repairs configuration problems; and assists with troubleshooting network problems.
Helpdesk Support Provides Tier I support and assists with Tier II, as needed.
Technical Consultation: Assists with recommendations, specifications, and plans for infrastructure system hardware, software purchases, and software development projects.
Documentation: Document user applications, support methods, procedures, and configuration.
Data Security: Monitors and maintains infrastructure system security; provides backup, protection, and recovery support for office data.
Professional Development: Participates in training and professional development sessions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of experience in multiple technology areas such as system administration, DevOps, collaborative software development, customer support, application support, project management, database administration, system reporting, access management, system security, and/or disaster recovery.

Development:
Infrastructure Management:
Knowledge of and experience working with Microsoft, and Linux operating systems [Windows Server Windows Desktop, Linux (Ubuntu)].
General familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, MAC addresses, DNS).
Knowledge of and experience working with at least one or more hypervisors [Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware]
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
