Account Executive
Location: Remote, but we are seeking someone based in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area of Texas. You will be traveling about 30% of the year to client sites, conferences, and trade shows.
Compensation: 80,000K to 115,000K base with a 50/50 split. 160OTE to 230OTE uncapped.
Job Overview
As an Account Executive, you'd be joining an established Account Executive team that is continuing to expand. You'll be a part of a growing cybersecurity software firm that caters to government agencies, financial firms, and the healthcare space. This is a role for a true hunter that likes to go out and find net new business, which means you will be responsible for driving sales and managing client relationships within the cybersecurity domain. You will engage with prospective clients, understand their security needs, and offer tailored solutions that enhance their digital defenses. Your role is pivotal in expanding this company's market presence and achieving revenue targets while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and lead generation activities - cold calling, email campaigns, marketing leads, and more.
- Conduct outreach to new prospects and schedule meetings to present their cybersecurity solutions to MSPs and commercial companies.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and manage them through the sales cycle.
- Understand client needs, pain points, and security challenges to recommend appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring alignment with client expectations and company policies: average deal size is 10K.
- Collaborate with the other Account Executives to develop strategies and tactics for achieving sales goals.
- Provide insights into market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform product and marketing strategies.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management team.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within client organizations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback for management review.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the cybersecurity or technology sector, BUT IS NOT REQUIRED.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals within the B2B sales space.
- Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Experience within MSP, IT Services, or something similar is a big plus!
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a results-oriented approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Background in outside sales, telecommunications, or something similar is a big plus!
