Job Title: Windows Systems Administrator

Position Overview:
The Windows Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server and AIX/Linux systems. This role is critical for ensuring optimal system performance, security, and disaster recovery plans while automating tasks for efficient infrastructure operations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows Server operating systems.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, ensuring optimal operation.
- Plan and execute regular system updates, patches, and security fixes.
- Design, document, and update administrative procedures, including backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell scripts or other automation tools.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Maintain and update documentation and runbooks for system configurations and standard procedures.
- Conduct capacity planning to anticipate future needs and ensure scalability.
- Provide support and consultation during system migrations, upgrades, and other IT projects.
- Perform regular audits of systems to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.
- Monitor system logs for unusual activity and potential security breaches.
- Collaborate with network and database administrators to ensure overall infrastructure health.
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
- Assist in disaster recovery planning and perform regular failover testing and drills.
Technical Skills Required:
- Windows Server Administration (Installation, configuration, maintenance of Windows OS)
- PowerShell or Python Scripting (Automation tasks)
- Technical Support (Updates, patches, security fixes)
- AIX/Linux System Administration (Nice to have)
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
