Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Administrator to manage and maintain our company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and efficiency. This role involves overseeing networks, systems, and applications while providing technical support to employees. The ideal candidate will have experience with Microsoft environments, cloud services, and IT security best practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain company networks, servers, and IT infrastructure.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based applications.
- Monitor and enhance IT security, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Implement and manage backup, disaster recovery, and data protection solutions.
- Oversee IT asset management, including procurement, deployment, and tracking.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes by managing user accounts and access control.
- Research and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and security.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers for IT-related projects and support.
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and a habit of follow-up on tasks until completed
- Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines
Recommended Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in IT administration or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
- Experience with networking, firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud services such as Azure, AWS.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, or similar are a plus.
