Supports senior leaders within risk management in matters requiring their attention. Leads meetings with the 1st line to provide guidance, insights and risk advice on projects and initiatives in assigned area. Manages the collection and preparation of relevant information, data and presentations for meetings with GRM and the 1st line. Leads engagement with first line to ensure that risk management activities are being completed on a timely basis.
Governance: Leads the production of policies and other governance documents.
Risk Appetite: Reviews and challenges the risk appetite and tolerance for areas of responsibility.
Risk Identification and Assessment: Leads the review and challenge of the 1st line activities. Leads a Function or project TRP.
Risk Response: Reviews and challenges proposed 1st line risk responses.
Monitoring: Leads risk monitoring activities.
Assurance: Leads assurance activities, validates findings and observations with relevant stakeholders and reviews results.
Reporting: Leads the production of risk reporting.
Engagement: Ensures that the first line are adopting GRM tools, templates and methodologies.
Training: Develops and facilitates training and training materials to stakeholders, promoting a disciplined risk culture.
Technical coaching: Provides coaching to other team members in their area of expertise, represents the team internally and Zurich externally on technical matters. Continues to develop knowledge base and lead training and development within the function.
