Senior Network Engineer

World Wide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) has an opportunity for a Sr. Network Engineer to support our client with end to end network infrastructure solutions.
Position Overview
- Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, VPN appliances, VPNs
- Design, document, and implement end-to-end network infrastructure solutions (physical and logical)
- Work with other platform owners to architect and implement changes to meet business needs, resolve issues, modernize the organization and its technologies
- Execute solutions for the design, development, and technical troubleshooting for problems
- Perform assessments, testing and validation of network environments to ensure functionality and performance meet requirements, including troubleshooting complex issues and implementing improvements
- Consider upstream/downstream data, applications, systems or technical implications and advise on actions to minimize impacts
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes to support operational efficiency and knowledge sharing
- Coordinate with vendors and other related organizations for problem resolution
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in designs, configurations, and implementations
Qualifications
- Formal training or certification or work experience(s) on network infrastructure and IT systems
- Experience in Cisco technologies in performing configuration of protocols – IE: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GRE tunnels, IPSec, SSL, VPN, PBR, HSRP, DHCP, QoS, Spanning-tree, Vlan, STP, Trunking, MPLS, etc.
- Proficiency in designing, configuring, and troubleshooting the above network infrastructures
- Strong understanding of network technologies, protocols, and standards
- Knowledge of network technologies such as firewall, proxy, and load balancer
- Knowledge of network services and tools such as Radius, DNS, NTP, SYSLOG, SSH, etc.
- TCP/IP subnetting
- Microsoft Visio to update network topology diagram(s)
- Experience coordinating telco/carrier technologies (circuits, carrier POP, building entry, working with carrier vendors)
- Familiarity of cloud and cloud technologies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- CCIE (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert)
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Automation and programming languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
- Experience in large enterprise environment(s)
- Experience in Banking/Finance environments
