Who We Are Looking For:
At ANM, a Senior Consulting Engineer in our Managed Services Team is responsible to work with ANM clients in support and troubleshooting of information technology solutions. This position requires a blend of technical competence, client service skills and team collaboration to successfully support all aspects of the client’s technology systems. As a senior, you will also own the technical relationship with large, complex clients.
What will you be doing as a Senior Consulting Engineer:
- Acts as a technical resource for assigned issues and work closely with the ANM technical teams to resolve problems.
- Act as lead firefighter for high priority, complex issues, providing direction to technical teams while engaging in in-depth troubleshooting.
- Lead Problem Management for ongoing issues in client environments.
- Learn new technologies and train team members.
- Acts as mentor and escalation point for more junior engineers.
- Works closely with the Management, Account Managers, and Client Service Managers to ensure ANM is delivering World Class Support to our clients.
- Clearly and consistently communicates with client IT departments and ANM technical teams about the status and progress of issues.
- Generates & implements clear and consistent documentation of client environments.
- Performs analysis and diagnosis of system problems.
- Provides second and third-level technical support for numerous technologies to ANM clients.
- Interacts directly with clients via phone and ticketing systems.
- Applies analytical skills and technical knowledge to solve technical problems of medium to high complexity.
- Uses knowledge of technology, products, and services to troubleshoot and maintain networking solutions of all sizes
- Interacts and works directly with multiple advanced engineering groups and vendors to escalate technical issues and drive incidents to resolution often collaborating between more than one group at a time.
- Interacts with telecommunication, hardware, and software vendors and operates on the customers’ behalf to drive resolution of issues while providing regular progress updates to any incident stakeholders.
- Participates in special projects as assigned.
- Invests time in continued education to learn new technologies.
- Provides network and remote connectivity hardware/software support (including upgrades)
- Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
Required education, technical skills, and/or experience:
- Expert (CCIE Level):
- 10+ years of experience with dynamic routing protocols
- 10+ years of experience with Cisco IOS/IOS-XE Routing/switching platforms
- 10+ years of experience with Remote Access VPN and Site-to-Site VPN
- 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting and managing Firewalls: ACLs, NAT, NGFW, routing
- Proficient with AT LEAST FOUR of the below technologies
- 4+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting ACI
- 4+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting ISE
- 2+ years of experience managing Cisco SD-Access
- 3+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting public cloud (AWS or Azure)
- 5+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting FMC and managed devices (FTDs)
- 4+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Meraki MX, MS, MR and SDWAN
- 3+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting DNAC
- 3+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting SD-WAN (Cisco)
- 3+ years of experience managing and troubleshooting Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, including Prisma Access and Prisma SD-WAN
- 3+ years of experience with Automation / Programmability: Python / Ansible
