Typical Job Duties:
- Research latest security best practices, staying abreast of new threats and vulnerabilities and disseminate this information to appropriate groups within the organization.
- Coordinate and execute security projects for the organization
- Respond to security incidents as part of the Incident Response Team.
- Research attempted or successful efforts to compromise systems security, determines causes of security violations, and designs countermeasures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related subject or 2-5 years of experience
- Strong communication skills to consult with a wide range of customers and stakeholders
- System administration, networking, log analysis, cloud technologies, and data forensics
- Security Detection/Remediation/Prevention
- Analytical Skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated knowledge of how to implement security policies and frameworks
- Ability to coach others on how to develop and implement security principles
- Operational Knowledge of security solutions such as IDS/IPS, Web Security, MFA, DLP, EDR and cloud security tools
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Network engineering experience, CCNA or higher (CCNP and/or CCIE).
- CCNA or higher (CCNP and/or CCIE)
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- CompTIA Security+
- Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
- Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
