Job Description
This is a full-time role open to candidates in the Salt Lake City, UT area within commuting distance of our South Salt Lake City headquarters.
Reporting to the CFO/CSO, the Chief of Staff & Head of Corporate Development will play a critical role in developing and executing the strategy for PDQ. They will lead Corporate Development, from deal sourcing to execution and post-close integration. Additionally, they will organize leadership offsites, improve leadership team effectiveness, and interface with internal or external parties in lieu of the C-level leadership. The Chief of Staff will proactively identify and execute high-value strategic or operational initiatives, with a high tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to operate in a fluid environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist in developing the company’s short and long-term company and product strategy
- Source, execute and close M&A transactions
- Build financial models and conduct due diligence on acquisition targets
- Lead key cross-functional strategic and operational initiatives
- Support business operations, including synthesizing insights from KPIs and ensuring the company has an efficient OKR process
- Facilitate an effective operating cadence (e.g., organize offsites, leadership meetings, QBRs)
- Promote meeting effectiveness principles and ensure leadership spends time in the right meetings; drive follow-up on action items from leadership meetings
- Facilitate and knit together output and information across the business to help the CEO and leadership team over-deliver on expected results
- Gather research to facilitate faster decision-making
We're Looking For People Who Have
- Minimum of a B.A., with 2-5 years of work experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, and/or SaaS company Corporate Development
- Demonstrable passion for PDQ’s aim and culture; a hands-on leader with integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic environment
- Experience executing M&A due diligence
- Mature, confident and proactive, with evidence of having worked as a true business partner to the C-level leaders
- Strong leadership skills: ability to drive multiple high-profile projects forward
- Strong analytical, critical reasoning and creative problem-solving skills, as well as experience developing and implementing company vision and strategy
- Experience successfully partnering with other functions to achieve organizational goals and deliver operational initiatives
- Effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a willingness to share information
- Collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality and bias to action
