L3Harris is actively seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as a Scientist level Software Engineer for the System Software Integration and Test Team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the team performs at the highest standards, meeting contractual requirements, adhering to cost and schedule constraints, and achieving functional and business objectives throughout the entire software integration and test lifecycle.
As the senior member of the System Software Integration and Test Team, you will provide mentorship and guidance to a talented group of approximately 30 software engineers. Your experience will be instrumental in driving the team's success in delivering cutting-edge software integration and test solutions tailored for various communication technologies. This role demands not only technical expertise but also exceptional mentoring skills to guide the team in achieving optimal performance.
Essential Functions:
- Mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Ensure the team adheres to contractual requirements, meets cost and schedule constraints, and achieves functional and business objectives.
- Oversee the development of software integration and test solutions catering to the unique needs of communications technologies.
- Demonstrate proven leadership skills and experience in managing software integration efforts within communications technology projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive synergy and streamline processes for optimal efficiency.
- Demonstrate highly analytical skills to evaluate technical data and programmatic data, from which decisions will be determined.
- Collaborate with Engineering management in the creation and implementation of strategic plans to strengthen future growth and maximize efficiencies.
- Lead efforts in responding to ‘Request for Proposals’ ensuring the capture of future contracts and growing cross-functional relationships with New Business Development Leaders
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proven experience in Project leadership roles with a focus on software integration and test engineering focused on communications technology projects.
- Strong software project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with various waveforms and wireless communications software
- Familiarity with various Networking Protocols
- Familiarity with various Hardware Test Interfaces
