Job Role Summary
Understands how computers on a network must be managed; cryptography, VPNs and IPSec; defensive operational security, disaster recovery, and BCP; how Domain Name System (DNS) works, common attacks against DNS and how to defend against these; issues related to defending Windows desktops and laptops; risks and mitigating controls for facilities and physical security systems; basic legal issues in incident and evidence handling; terminology and concepts of IP protocols; how logging works, options for collection and processing and correlation technology; identify common types of malicious code, how it propagates, understand network traffic; able to protect intellectual property and intangible assets; understand critical issues related to Personal Digital Assistant devices.
