Your role as Systems Engineer’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in- house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.
Your Tasks And Responsibilities
- You deliver 2nd & 3rd line support to the internal employees for Cerba Research US;
- You are the backup person for the 1st line support;
- You will perform the day to day monitoring and auditing of the infrastructure and of the individual applications to guarantee the continuity, reliability and quality of the infrastructure.
- You are a key person for all server related issues (maintenance / problems );
- Installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance of physical /virtual server infrastructure;
- Installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance of software;
- Active Directory maintenance;
- Network component maintenance;
- Optimalisation and maintenance of client computers;
- You are responsible for flawless operation of IT infrastructure at all times
Your Background
Education and certification
- Degree in informatics, Microsoft certificates MCP’s and /or MCSE or equivalent by experience.
Knowledge /experience
- Relevant experience in an infrastructure department with at least 2 years of system engineer experience.
- Knowledge of validation of infrastructure.
- You have a very good knowledge of Windows and you are familiar with Linux
- You have a very good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and up, Active Directory, IIS, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL
- You have experience with PowerShell You have a good knowledge of Storage Systems (SAN, NAS, NetApp, iSCSI ,… )
- You have a good knowledge of backup software (Veeam, Backup Exec ), and a very good knowledge of Windows Remote Desktop Services
- You have a good knowledge of virtualization (VMWare, Windows HyperV )
- You have a good knowledge of Antivirus systems (Kaspersky, Sentinel One )
- You are familiar with Network components (LAN, WAN, Routers, Modem, Switches… )
- DBA experience is a plus
- Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment and working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.
