GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Accountable for all Information Technology at Kingwood Methdoist Church.
· Responsibilities include the management of strategy, implementation, maintenance, operations, vendor management, and budgeting for all technology hardware, software, connectivity, and infrastructure.
· The IT Director will proactively provide insight and expertise to Church Leadership on how to best leverage technology at KMC to enable the stated Mission and Vision, position the church for future growth while meeting the collective and individual needs of our ministries and achieving an appropriate balance between cost and functionality.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Stewardship
· Develop and maintain the annual IT budget.
· Manage all technology assets, developing practices, procedures and guidelines to ensure that hardware and software assets are tracked, maintained and appropriately secured with documentation in the Fixed Asset System
· Ensure accurate software licensing information including tracking of entitlements and license usage
Daily Operations
· Develop, implement and manage guidelines for system access and security, file maintenance, back-ups, virus protection, etc. for LAN, desktop, and cloud applications
· Create and manage the life-cycle plan for IT hardware and software, providing version control, managing end-user training, and negotiating procurement terms.
· Develop and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plan for technology
· Provide end-user support for all church technology including staff and classroom PC’s and guest internet/wireless connections
· Technical liaison for all third-party applications (ACS, banking, phone/internet service, etc.)
· Manage KMC’s Microsoft 365/Azure environment
· Support of KMC’s live streaming of services
· Ensure MDF and all IDFs have adequate UPS capacity to ensure continuity of services during short term power outages.

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:
· Significant related IT experience
· Deep subject matter expertise in desktop administration and a working knowledge of all aspects of the IT function
· Experience with technology implementations with multiple users
· Experience with implementation, administration, and maintenance of Windows OS, Mac OS, iOS, MS Office, Office 365
· Working knowledge of technology, hardware, software, infrastructure, and current trends with the ability to apply that knowledge strategically on behalf of the organization
· Formal technical education preferred, proven hands-on experience required in lieu of formal education.
· Familiarity with managing network equipment from vendors such as Ubiquiti Networks, Dell, SonicWall, and Cisco.
