Position Specific Description
The position is responsible for day to day, 24x7x365 operational support for the organization’s end-user environment which includes supporting mobile devices, computers, and AV systems. Efforts will primarily focus on day to day technical support needs but will require participation in other support duties as needed. This position will also be responsible for aiding various projects by acting as a liaison between project and engineering teams and is expected to help coordinate, schedule, and then perform the activities required to implement those projects. A high capacity to work on multiple work efforts simultaneously and coordinate across multiple teams is required. The position is unique, in that it is not only a highly technical position, but also requires a high degree of customer focus and interaction that ultimately generates extraordinary customer satisfaction. To be successful the candidate will be required to adapt to new plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.
Occasional Local Travel Will Be Required.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identifies new or trending issues, determines root causes, and quickly resolves the issues
- Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups & restores, and configuring systems and applications
- Acts as a liaison between tier 3 support teams and the end-users
- Assists in coordinating and performing the work required to implement projects goals
- Interact regularly with managers, clients, and vendors to answer questions
- Works closely with the Infrastructure Operations Center and Network Engineering to assist in problem resolution of network issues
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Technical Skills:
- High degree of skill with Windows OS based computers in an Active Directory environment
- Experience configuring and deploying Microsoft Windows based laptops and desktop PC’s
- Highly proficient with MacOS and IOS supporting MacBooks, iPhones and iPads
- Support AV systems and collaboration applications such as WebEx, Teams, Zoom, etc.
- Experience with software installation and troubleshooting
- Highly skilled at providing support via remote management
- Proficient with Service Now
- Experience with Asset Management
- General knowledge of TCP/IP network functionality and devices
Required Qualifications:
- High School Grad / GED
- Experience: 2+ years IT experience
Job Overview
This position installs, configures, and maintains computing infrastructure, operating systems, and middleware products on all computer platforms, including mainframes, workstations, and servers - including web servers - in support of 24-hour-per-day, seven-day-per-week business processes.
