We are looking for a talented System Administrator to join our team and help us continue to provide exceptional service.
Job Description:
The System Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the company’s information systems that support business functions. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues promptly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain enterprise operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
- Systems including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, wireless access points, Linux and windows servers, Domain Controllers, Storage Array Networks, Microsoft SQL Server, and Telecommunications/IVR.
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations.
- Implement security tools, policies, and procedures.
- Administration of the backup environment. This includes backups, restores and DR testing.
- Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement new technologies.
- Maintain detailed documentation and keep it up-to-date.
- Participate in on-call rotation for network support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in network administration, or system administration experience.
- Proven experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux based environments.
- Experience managing Proxmox/VMware environments, with a strong understanding of virtualization technologies.
- System administration of open source VOIP solutions is a plus
- Office 365 Suite, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune.
- Experience with automation software.
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
- Cloud experience, preferably in AWS or Azure.
