Axient is seeking a Mid level
Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team in the
Washington Navy Yard.
Work is
onsite for 3-4 days per week.
Secret clearance (at minimum) is required.
What You Will Do...
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for bringing platform information technology systems through the full life cycle of the Risk Management Framework process to achieve/renew Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Reviews RMF packages for the Package Submitting Office (PSO). Conduct RMF package reviews and assist with package development as needed. Meets/works with Program Offices to resolve package review issues. Act as an early adapter of RMF changes and assist the programs with new processes, tools, and requirements.
- Provide NQV support for "IWS D Validator Pool". Validate packages for any IWS code who is short a validator. Can support SAP's, RMF Step 5 Approval, Assess Only Approval, and Annual Security Reviews.
- Aid in the development of training materials for the IWS community and training other IWS D staff.
Skills You Will Need...
Experience:
- A high school degree, or a GED, and more than ten (10) years of relevant experience in cyber security, information system management, software development, design or authorization
- OR
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and five (5) years of relevant experience in cyber security, information system management, software development, design or authorization
- OR
- A master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience evaluating the cyber compliance of a system against current RMF and DoD Cybersecurity policies
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, DoDI 8500.01, and DoDI 8510.01
Certification: DoD 8140 (IAT Level II/IAM Level I), Navy Qualified Validator (desired)
Desired:
- Proficiency with the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) & eMASSter tools.
- Familiarity with Navy combat systems such as SSDS and AEGIS.
- Certification: DoD 8570 (IAT Level III/IAM Level III), Navy Qualified Validator.
