The Field Engineer will be responsible for providing support, troubleshooting and implementation services for present and future customers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience analyzing requirements for implementing, supporting and troubleshooting server infrastructure, hardware replacements
- Strong knowledge on hardware monitoring/maintenance tools such as Intel BMC
- Working with support escalation teams on troubleshooting
- Problem analysis and identifying root cause
- 3+ years knowledge in Data Center functions
- Ability to implement, administer and troubleshoot server infrastructure
- Working knowledge and experience managing server infrastructure and supporting software (such as: Nutanix, VMWare, Cohesity, Cloudian, various back up software and secondary storage solutions)
- Prior Intel and VMware experience is required. Intel DSG & Nutanix is a plus
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing technical expertise, troubleshooting and parts replacement experience
- Experience with updating case tickets and working side by side with customers on troubleshooting issues or errors on server platforms
- Deploying, maintaining, and administering server environments, predominantly those in Data Centers,
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems. (such as: Intel DSG servers along with Nutanix and VM's
- Participating in root cause analysis on incidents, helping to drive identification of preventative actions meant to ensure problems don't recur, and delivering on the tasks within those actions
- Flex schedule to accommodate change schedules that can happen after-hours based on the customer planned outage schedule
- The customer will engage the field engineer once a case is open, the field engineer will work with the customer to quickly resolve the issue, which may require being within the Data Center to troubleshoot issues
- The Field engineer will also work with Intel and other vendor support teams to troubleshoot on behalf of the customer to assist with quick resolution of issues
