Job Description
We're seeking a proactive, adaptable Systems Administrator who's just as comfortable troubleshooting a broken laptop as they are designing our identity and access management systems. This is a multi-disciplinary role encompassing user support, IT infrastructure management, and security leadership. You'll be the go-to expert for all things IT, ensuring our environment is secure, streamlined, and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identity & Access ManagementOwn and improve our Single Sign-On (SSO) configuration and provisioning processes
- Manage and evolve our Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to meet security and compliance needs
- Collaborate on IT policy development and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)-related practices
- Infrastructure & NetworkingManage office network equipment including switches, firewalls, access points, and physical wiring to ensure stable and secure connectivity
- Ensure network performance, access control, and device health are optimal
- Implement and maintain local servers and cloud-based infrastructure to meet evolving operational and scalability need
- User Support & Systems OperationsProvide escalation-level support and technical oversight for Mac and Windows environments, partnering with a junior support technician
- Own the tooling, process design, and standards for IT support operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day execution
- Step in to diagnose and resolve high-priority or complex issues when necessary
- Maintain and optimize onboarding/offboarding workflows, including hardware, licensing, and access management
- Security & CompliancePartner with leadership to ensure security policies are enforced and well- documented
- Conduct security audits and proactively address vulnerabilities
- Help prepare for compliance with relevant standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001)
- Required Qualifications5+ years of relevant experience in systems administration, IT support, or security-focused IT roles.
- Strong familiarity with both Apple MacOS and Windows environments.
- Hands-on experience with SSO solutions (JumpCoud, Okta, etc.)
- Proficiency in managing IAM tools, MDM platforms (like Apple Business Manager, JumpCloud, Okta, and other), and networking equipment.
- Experience with networking infrastructure such as UniFi and Fortinet.
- Experience with hosted infrastructure applications such as Microsoft Exchange or similar.
- A proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- A collaborative mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Preferred QualificationsExperience in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Exposure to compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC2, HIPAA, ISO 27001)
- Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
