Metrics is seeking a Chief Technology Officer for a fast-growing, VC-backed crypto entertainment platform that combines casino gaming with sports betting. As CTO, you will lead the technical vision, scale cutting-edge platforms, and build high-performing engineering teams at the forefront of iGaming innovation. The company is developing an interconnected ecosystem powered by a multi-currency wallet and a best-in-class rewards system.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement technical strategy aligned with business goals
- Lead frontend/backend platform development (React.js, Vue.js, Angular, Golang, REST APIs)
- Ensure platform scalability, stability, and responsiveness
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams
- Oversee software development lifecycle and timely delivery of products
- Integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., payment gateways, game providers)
- Promote best practices in frontend performance, accessibility, and security
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, marketing, and ops teams
- Drive features like multi-currency wallets, real-time data processing, and user analytics
- Optimize engineering efficiency, mitigate risks, and manage monitoring systems
Requirements
- Senior leadership experience (VP Engineering or CTO) in high-transaction or regulated industries (iGaming ideal)
- Expertise in modern frontend frameworks (React.js, Vue.js, Angular)
- Backend experience with Golang, Node.js, or similar technologies
- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), DevOps, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven experience scaling API-driven systems and managing integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills and business-to-technical strategy translation
- Track record of building high-performing engineering cultures
- Knowledge in performance tuning and monitoring large-scale distributed systems
