INEOS Enterprises is made up of 8 businesses and more than 3100 employees across 34 locations in 12 different countries globally. Due to geographical disbursement and maintenance schedules, this role requires work outside of normal business hours.
INEOS Enterprises businesses will operate with IT support staff in multiple locations, a key feature of this role is to collaborate with both technical support staff & the user base globally, while working towards the business apps/tool needs
INEOS Enterprises shares some platforms (including WAN and O365 tenant) with other INEOS businesses, so this person needs to adhere to group governance and mandates at all times, ensuring cross-business collaboration as part of ‘virtual’ tech teams at a Pan-INEOS level
This role will work on Multi-national, multi-site environment requiring the person to adapt & work with the different cultures of all INEOS territories.
Responsibilities:
Subject matter expert for server and system administration services. The SME for server services will be responsible for Enterprises IT server design, infrastructure, security, policies, and implementation. The role will include management of the hypervisors, storage solutions, server backups and disaster recovery. The role will be accountable for server patching and software updates.
As part of system administration, the SME will be responsible for Active Directory design, infrastructure, security, policies, and implementation. The role will also manage IT tools for monitoring, imaging, and software deployment.
As part of acquisitions and divestitures this role will be responsible for the integration or separation of all server assets. The role will also include working with the application teams to implement new solutions or upgrade existing solutions.
- Design and implement server policies and standards.
- Maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure to include monitoring, capacity management, patching, backups, and disaster recovery. This will include both VMWare, HyperV, and Nutanix environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain storage solutions across all Enterprises environments.
- Audit and reporting capabilities for ensuring security and license compliance across all servers.
- Design and implement identity policies and standards for Active Directory.
- Design, implement, and maintain Active Directory infrastructure.
- Package software for deployment and implement deployment jobs. This will include integration of software deployment jobs into the workstation and server imaging processes.
- Collaboration with application team to troubleshoot application issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in IT security
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of a variety of current and emerging technologies
- Understanding of current threats and trends in security
Technical skills
- Experience managing server infrastructure to include monitoring, capacity management, patching, backups, and disaster recovery
- Experience managing Wintel server security and services
- Experience auditing server environments for security and license compliance
- Experience implementing physical and virtual server platforms
- Experience designing and implementing Active Directory best practices
- Experience managing Active Directory security and group policies
- Certificate management and implementation
