Responsibilities
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Administrator II in Tampa, FL. Summary: The Network Administrator II installs and maintains voice and data network components, phone systems, wireless devices, structured cabling, PC hardware and software, server hardware and associated peripheral equipment. This person provides support for problems involving user issues, phone circuits, LAN/WAN and structured cabling. Essential Functions:
- Analyzes current system software, proposed modifications, and new software for impact on installation
- Implements new systems software and modifications in an optimal manner without adverse effects on current production and testing and with minimal impact on development activities
- Participates in designing and implementing of custom software required for impact on installation
- Plans, maintains, supports and documents structured cabling, performing moves, adds and changes of voice and data cabling required
- Troubleshoots and brings to resolution, network connectivity, telephone, and wireless network issues
- Assists in the relocation of offices and equipment required
- Assists in the support and management of all wired and wireless communication devices
- Supports and maintains all telecommunication equipment
- Installs, maintains, and supports voice and data network equipment while minimizing service impact
- Removes and properly disposes of defective or obsolete equipment in compliance with company procedures
- Installs, maintains, and supports desktop and associated peripheral hardware while minimizing service impact
- Refers/repairs hardware and software failure to external maintenance vendor or supplier for resolution; Tracks resolution and keeps management informed
- Tracks and reports the progress of all assigned tasks ensuring management's awareness of project status
- Identifies and makes recommendation to management for improvement in processes, techniques, technologies, hardware, and software
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Business or a Computer related discipline is preferred
- Experience may substitute at a rate of two (2) years of experience per year academic
- Requires three (3) years of IT experience, one (1) of which must be as a network or system administrator responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of network and/or server hardware and software products

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to follow established protective measures including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Working Conditions
- Some travel and work outside of normal business hours
- While working in certain areas of the plant there is the potential for exposure to hazards typical of an industrial working environment
- Must be capable of working extra hours and/or weekends when necessary to complete a project on time
- Must be available on a 24-hour basis in the event of a system malfunction that requires assistance
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
