As our Systems Administrator, you'll excel in customer service, communicate effectively, contribute to our commitment to continuous improvement.
What will you do?
· Work with IT Support staff providing day-to-day on-site and remote support and act as a point of escalation to other staff when needed in Windows Active Directory environments.
· Assist with support technician training.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, applications, and networking.
· Guide and assist clients through basic technical instructions and training.
· Document ticket resolutions and contribute to knowledge base maintenance.
· Setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting servers, printers, scanners, computers, and other network devices.
· Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, including setting up user accounts, workstations, and email.
· Assist in the administration of servers, networks, VoIP, and other critical IT infrastructure.
· Help manage user accounts, permissions, and access control in Active Directory, Office 365, or other identity management systems.
· Assist with backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
· Monitor system alerts, responding to, and escalating issues when necessary.
· Assist with patch management and software updates and deployments.
· Participate in network monitoring and troubleshooting, including resolving issues related to LAN, VPN, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
· Collaborate with senior team on system optimizations and infrastructure improvements.
· Maintain internal documentation for client hardware, software, and network technology.
· Assist senior team with Data Center, Server Room maintenance tasks, network equipment, server installation, cabling assistance and other delegated tasks as needed.
· Able to lift 50lbs, bend, stand, walk, kneel and sit in many situations during equipment installations.
· Demonstrate flexibility for local and occasional out-of-state travel, including non-standard working hours when needed.
Skills & Experience:
· 3-4 years of experience in technical troubleshooting.
· Strong experience with Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 R2 – 2022, Office 365 administration, and other system administration tasks.
· Have exceptional customer service skills and client-facing customer relations experience in any industry.
· Strong troubleshooting skills.
· Competent in IT Security best practices and tools.
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Excellent organization and documentation skills.
· Maintain composure and clarity in challenging situations.
Desirable Qualifications:
· Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field
· Technical certifications from CompTIA, Microsoft, (ISC)2, etc.
· Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, Proxmox)
· Experience with Azure
