Job Summary
Responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining and controlling all activities of the Information Technology department in conjunction with the AVP/Assistant Chief Information Officer to ensure the effective, efficient and secure operations of all computer systems.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide organization employees with top quality, consistently available support for computer systems and hardware, and for the electronic health record/practice management systems
- Procure, install and maintain all computer hardware, software, licensing, and all other products and supplies necessary to keep computer systems operational, and fulfill managements requests for computer support.
- Perform regular audits to ensure information systems are secured and accessed only by authorized users.
- Maintains network security and privacy of all agency data consistent with HIPAA, HITECH Act, Joint Commission, and other applicable regulations.
- Evaluate new equipment, software and processes continuously, and recommend and implement changes as appropriate.
- Provide organizational education on IT policies and security initiatives.
- Works in conjunction with the AVP|ACIO to perform security risk analysis and address or mitigate issues identified.
- Maintains disaster recovery plan, including provision of backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster.
- Coordinate with applicable management personnel and vendors on project planning, project implementation, and status reporting.
- Train, coach, counsel, discipline, and evaluate employees in the IT Technology department.
- Demonstrate ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Abide by policies and procedures dictated in the Employee Safety Handbook.
- Participate in the agency’s Continuous Performance Improvement Program.
- Ensure the protection and security of all personal, confidential and identifiable information in a professional and responsible manner and carry out all measures to prevent from unauthorized disclosures. Demonstrating and maintaining the standards and requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
- Assists in training new employees in performing their job duties as requested.
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
Bachelor's degree in information management field OR Six years as Systems Administrator
Required
Experience
- Hardware and software computer proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead people and achieve results
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Analytical and interpretation skills including financial and operations data
- Proficiency in Cisco Networking environments LAN | WLAN | UCCX
Preferred
- General experience working in a health care setting
- Experience with NextGen or other electronic health records systems
- Crowdstrike EDR/MDR solutions
- Cisco ISE, DNA Center, DUO, and AMP endpoint protection
- MFA protocols
- M365 suite and applications
- CCNA, CCNP or CCNE
