Top must have skills:
1. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
2. Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Oracle and Redshift).
3. Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React.js, Vue.js) and back-end technologies like Java, Python, Node.js, Bash, PowerShell and designing/implementing Restful API’s.
4. Comprehensive understanding of modern front-end and back-end frameworks.
5. Deep knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD best practices while using DevOps tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory, Twistlock, SAST/DAST/SCA, UCD, Docker, Maven, Gradle and version control tools like Gitlab, GitHub and Bitbucket, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation and Ansible.
6. Strong focus on microservices architecture, serverless computing, and API management.
7. Working Knowledge and understanding with AI/ML integrations, RBAC principles to implement best security practices/processes, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems and recommending minimal/zero downtime deployment strategies.
8. Expertise in implementing good logging standards, troubleshooting skills, leading the Root cause analysis, Blameless postmortems sessions, possess good triaging capabilities, understanding of what error codes/message mean after analysing the logs/traces/metrics.
9. Expertise in designing highly scalable, fault-tolerant and cost-effective cloud infrastructure, observability best practices, distribute tracing and proactive incident management practices, resilience architectural design patterns, such as Bulkhead, Circuit-breaker, Retry, Timeout, etc
10. Possess good proactive thinking in minimizing/anticipating failures and implementing solutions that can target toward achieving minimal MTTD/MTTR
11. Expertise in designing solutions with Shift-Left approach and possess great experience with testing concepts (BDD, TDD, Unit, Regression, Synthetic).
12. Proficiency with AI, GenAI, ML Python Libraries, NLTK, Transformers, Spacy and SciPy. Excellent verbal / written communication skills, relationship management skills, and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
13. Expertise in chaos engineering solutions utilizing tools such as FIS, Chaos Toolkit (similar Chaos tools), Resiliency Hub, create disaster recovery plans and execute failover tests.
