Nightwing is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services.
Nightwing is seeking a skilled AWS Administrator to manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, monitoring, and optimizing AWS resources to ensure high availability, security, and performance. This role requires a strong understanding of AWS services, automation, and cloud best practices.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, manage, and maintain AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, and other AWS services
- Automate cloud operations using tools like AWS CLI, Terraform, CloudFormation, and scripting (Python, Bash).
- Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.
- Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
- Support DevOps initiatives by integrating AWS services with CI/CD pipelines.
- Provide support for MacOS and iOS to users.
- Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues.
- Work closely with development and security teams to ensure compliance with cloud governance policies.
- Performing implementation of granular access control, and monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establish back-ups, and monitor systems security.
- Examine and identify efficiencies that can be made to existing procedures, with approval from the customer.
Required Skills
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
- Proven experience as an AWS Administrator or in a similar cloud-based role
- 2+ years of directly relevant experience in IT Helpdesk support.
- 2+ years MacOS and iOS experience.
- Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
Desired Skills
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with multiple operating systems to include Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, AWS CodePipeline)
Required Education
BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 4+ years lab management or systems administration experience.
