Job Title: Network Administrator

Role Summary:
The IT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the on-premises network environment, ensuring seamless connectivity between multiple office locations, and managing a cloud infrastructure within Microsoft
365. This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting high-impact escalations, and implementing security measures to protect data and systems. The ideal candidate will be experienced in tackling various hardware and software problems, addressing root causes to complex or recurring network issues, and implementing iterative improvements to ensure technology investments are kept updated and secure.
Role Responsibilities:
- Technology Planning: Contribute to the planning and execution of technology objectives to support business operations.
- Network Strategy: Oversee an EndPoint Security platform and implement policies and procedures to strengthen the network posture.
- Disaster Recovery: Maintain disaster recovery and backup procedures, ensuring they are regularly tested and documented as part of the company's business continuity strategy.
- Server Room Management: Maintain the company server room areas and oversee the network inventory and technology assets.
- Vendor Management: Interface regularly with third-party software and hardware vendors to evaluate resource requirements for related shipping, order placement, remote access, and development requests.
- Network Documentation: Maintain network documentation, including network diagrams and logs related to system issues and outages.
- Device Management: Define device patching schedules and manage device upgrade cycles.
- Infrastructure Changes: Work with other teams to design and implement requested infrastructure changes to physical or virtual environments, including office expansions and data migrations.
Role Required Experience:
- Experience: 6+ years in Information Technology or a related field, with 3+ years in a Tier 3 or higher capacity.
- Network Infrastructure: Experience with network infrastructure setup, including Cat5e/6, ISP WAN, IPSec Firewall, PoE, managed switch with VLAN tagging, UPS, RAID, WEAP Enterprise WLAN and WAPs
- Software Environment: Experience with HyperV management and Windows Server environments (single Forest), including Active Directory with Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NPS, 11S, and Entra Connect (formerly AADSync) for 365.
- Microsoft 365: Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Centers, including Exchange Online, Teams Phone, lntune, Compliance, and Defender. Familiarity with PowerShell for complex lookups.
- Additional Tools: Experience with PowerAutomate, SQL, and PowerBI is recommended.
- Platform Administration: Administration experience with platforms such as Dell (Tech Direct, DRAC, OpenManage, and LifeCycle Controller), Ubiquiti (Hosted Controller), Veeam (VBR, VB365), and ZScaler (ZIA, ZPA).
