What You Will Spark At Amplify
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced
DevSecOps Lead to spearhead DevOps deployment and the integration of security practices within our DevOps processes. This role is crucial in ensuring that our software development lifecycle (SDLC) has the necessary tools to develop ACT applications and systems and will incorporate security at every stage, from design through deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps, security, and automation, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive a culture of security-first thinking throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and Implementation
- Lead the team in the development and deployment of our Azure DevOps Deployment.
- Lead the DevSecOps strategy, working closely with development, operations, and security teams to create and enforce security standards and practices.
- Implement and manage DevOps automation and security tools for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment, ensuring that vulnerabilities are identified and addressed in real-time.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure that all DevSecOps practices comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., GDPR, ISO, NIST).
- Embed security into all phases of the DevOps pipeline, ensuring that security practices are automated and seamless within CI/CD processes.
- Oversee the tracking of code and identification, tracking, and remediation of security vulnerabilities within code, infrastructure, and third-party dependencies.
- Maintain detailed documentation of security processes, configurations, and incidents. Provide regular reports on security metrics and the state of security within the DevOps pipeline.
Team Collaboration and Training
- Educate and train development and operations teams on usage of DevOps platform and the utilization of secure coding practices, security tools, and threat models.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure DevOps and security processes are a shared responsibility, fostering collaboration between development, operations, and security teams.
- Collaborate with security teams to respond to security incidents, providing expertise in root cause analysis and remediation strategies.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or a related role, with a strong focus on security.
Skills And Abilities
- Proven experience in implementing and leading DevSecOps practices in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong experience in DevOps tools and platforms (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of security tools and practices, including static/dynamic code analysis, vulnerability scanning, and intrusion detection/prevention.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms and security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Significant experience in Azure preferred.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified DevOps Security Professional (CDSP), or similar are preferred.
