The Network Architect is responsible for the strategic design and planning of the organization's network infrastructure for a greenfield manufacturing facility. The scope of work includes hybrid cloud datacenter, LAN, WAN, 5G, Wireless, and OT connectivity throughout the manufacturing facility. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, security, and performance optimization. In addition to architecting robust and scalable networks, the Network Architect will also serve as a Senior/Lead Network Engineer during operational phases, providing hands-on support, troubleshooting, and leadership to ensure network stability and performance.

- Network Design and Architecture: Develop and implement strategic network architecture plans to support current and future business needs, focusing on scalability, security, and reliability.
- Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with IT leadership to align network infrastructure with organizational goals and future growth.
- Operational Support: Act as a Senior/Lead Network Engineer during operational phases, providing advanced support for network issues, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Security Management: Design and implement network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Network Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize speed, reliability, and security.
- Project Leadership: Lead network-related projects, from initial design through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams and managing resources to ensure successful outcomes.
- Mentorship and Training: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the team.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of network architecture, configurations, and processes to ensure transparency and continuity.
- Vendor Management: Work with vendors and service providers to evaluate new technologies and solutions, ensuring they meet organizational needs and budgetary constraints.
Location: This role will start remote and then will be working out of Byhalia, MS., with expectation to be on-Site once building construction and timing is established.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a network architect or senior engineering role.
- Proven experience in designing and managing large-scale, complex network environments.
- Expertise in network protocols, routing, switching, and network security technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing enterprise-level networking hardware, such as Cisco, HP Aruba, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar platforms.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Security certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CEH are a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
