We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to provide advanced technical support and solutions for internal teams handling complex systems and network requests. This role will focus on the design, implementation, and testing of network infrastructure, aligning closely with the company's objectives. Candidates must have strong skills in network architecture, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting across cloud and local infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities
- Resolve intricate network and system issues, proactively implementing network and systems projects with minimal oversight.
- Identify, design, and implement strategies to improve network performance, scalability, and capacity.
- Use network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds) to oversee system health and recommend hardware or resource upgrades as needed.
- Conduct routine network maintenance, including software, firmware, and security patch updates, adhering strictly to change management protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, AWS, Azure, VMware) are strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in network engineering or administration, particularly with Cisco networking technology.
- Proficiency with next-generation firewalls, such as Palo Alto or Fortinet, and cloud IaaS platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Solid experience with AD, DNS, DHCP.
- Advanced knowledge of network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN) and network/security operating systems (IOS, NX-OS, PAN-OS).
- Competency with routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP, STP, VLANs).
- Understanding of access control models, network security, and wireless security protocols (WPAx, PEAP, EAP-TLS, 802.1X).
- Experience with wireless LAN technologies (802.11a/g/n/ac/ax, access points, management, Active Directory, RADIUS).
- Ability to configure servers and install operating systems/software; Linux experience is a plus.
Pay - $125,000 - $175,000 DOE
