The ideal candidate will be an experienced architect with a specialized focus on data center design and delivery. This professional will have a deep understanding of the technical, operational, and sustainability requirements of mission-critical facilities. They will excel in designing innovative solutions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept through completion.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and present detailed architectural designs and plans for data center facilities, integrating operational efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and IT systems.
- Conduct site evaluations and feasibility studies to determine optimal design and layout.
- Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including concept development, design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations specific to data center projects.
- Lead coordination efforts with consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project goals within defined budgets and timelines.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- 10+ years of professional experience, with a portfolio demonstrating expertise in data center design and delivery.
- Comprehensive understanding of mission-critical facility requirements, including redundancy, cooling, power distribution, and security.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other architectural design tools.
- Knowledge of building codes, sustainability standards, and industry best practices for data centers.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Licensed Architect (preferred but not required)
