We are currently looking for a Full-time System Analyst I.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Specializes in creating and implementing applications for functional programs or business initiatives.
The position will directly support business and clinical activities associated with hosted and/or cloud-based computer systems, NextGen, Phreesia, and SIS specific modules, emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) services, Microsoft Power BI, SQL databases, Word Press, business intelligence tools, associated peripherals and other related technology. The position will interact frequently with all levels of management as well as Information Services staff and end users for their supported applications. The position will also research end user needs, evaluate available options and propose solutions. Position will also translate business requirements into technical specifications and develop supporting and/or end user documentation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical & Professional Knowledge
- Manages assigned development tasks to successful completion while utilizing project management, clinical and business resources, as well as external support as required.
- Responsible for problem solving, new design, development, testing, implementation of templates, documents, reports, stored procedures and any other components related to the use of core business and clinical systems.
- Responsible for updating, re-designing, testing and implementation of both Ophthalmology and Optometry custom templates, documents, stored procedures, reports, projects and other related activities.
- Actively participates in the development, testing and implementation of new systems, quality systems, modules and application enhancements including learning management systems.
- Provides train-the-trainer support to key practice staff during system upgrades, new template development and other system initiatives that result in user environment changes.
- Participates in and supports application upgrades, creates train-the-trainer documentation and works closely with vendors and users to minimize disruption.
- Seeks out opportunities for process improvement, and/or system automation, and risk mitigation planning.
- Actively participates in project core group meetings and functions and communicates with the applicable team members on the status of development.
- Attends annual system user group meetings and other vendor workshops and training to keep abreast of the applications and future development.
- Develops and maintains a weekly task list along with progress notes, milestones and applicable completion dates for IS management and team collaboration.
- Schedules time at the clinics to shadow staff and complete a modified form of Technician training and PSR training in order to learn and understand work flow from the clinician and support staff perspective.
- Gains specific knowledge of how doctors and technicians utilize systems to treat and manage patients with different conditions.
- Develops skills necessary to become proficient and organized in all aspects of the information systems assigned and/or supported.
- Supports the support, development, implementation and management of all applicable compliance programs.
- Provides suggestions to management on how to automate, improve workflow, streamline processes and reduce operational costs.
- Structures and prioritizes business requirements and communication plans for all stakeholders for review and approval.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four (4) years of applicable NextGen Healthcare or similar application experience in a healthcare organization, or equivalent combination of education and experience is desired.
- Healthcare experience, particularly in ophthalmology / optometry, is also desired.
- Working knowledge of emerging artificial intelligence (AI) applications and web-based tools.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft products that include Windows, Office, SharePoint, SQL database and reporting services along with Crystal Reports and other similar tools are basic job requirements.
