RESPEC’s Data and Technology Solutions business unit seeks a Systems Administrator to join our team supporting the Indian Health Service.
The Systems Administrator works in a dynamic environment and is responsible for owning and advancing multiple project priorities. Our resource successfully interacts with internal and external clients to resolve issues. By articulating the client’s needs, the Systems Administrator thinks outside the box to develop and implement innovative processes while also adapting to internal process improvements. The Systems Administrator is proficient in requirements analysis, requirements management, software support, software testing, and implementation. In this role, our Systems Administrator supports the team who are responsible for collecting, transmitting, sourcing, tracing, writing, and managing these requirements for each project in the portfolio.
Systems Administrator will:
- Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for computer system(s) assigned
- Maintain file servers, access and Security/System Monitoring Systems and as required
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational tests
- Notify customers when changes occur that might affect authorization accreditation
- Conduct cybersecurity portion of the self-inspection’s checklist
- Review and provide technical and cyber security coordination on all bodies of evidence that makes-up the authorization package
- Identify vulnerabilities and implements countermeasures
- Ensure information systems and network appliances are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices
- Create accounts, make changes and deletions on multiple authorization boundaries
- Perform help desk & troubleshooting activities
- Perform hardware/software system configuration, upgrades, and modifications
- Perform system and application patching and update activities
- Collect and report on requirements metrics related to assigned applications and client identified priorities
- Maintain system documentation on Share Point
- Coordinate the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of UNIX and AIX infrastructure hardware/software which supports health information systems and applications
- Maintain/troubleshoot the confidentiality ,integrity, and availability of health information systems/applications, networks, and data through the analysis, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
- Implements Disaster Recovery (DR) procedures and maintain a DR site to requirements
Education:- Bachelor’s Degree (BS) of science degree or related technical discipline, certifications or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, and work experience.
- 5+ years of directly applicable experience including requirements analysis using Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance
Past Experience / Preferred Qualifications:- Working knowledge of Indian Health RPMS EHR System.
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps.
- Working knowledge of Disaster Recovery Policy implementation procedures
- Working knowledge of cloud-based architecture and environments
- Effectively works on a remote/distributed team
- Experience with federal or public sector client projects, and Health IT-related projects preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and people skills and analytic capabilities.
- Collaborator who works well with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise.
