We are seeking an Electrical and Controls Engineer for our Biddeford, Maine location who will be responsible for planning and leading multidisciplinary teams in the capture of American Rheinmetall Systems’ priority new business opportunities. The Electrical and Controls Engineer is responsible for the development and support of electronic components for both current and future ARS products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead the electrical design and development of new products including the development of ECAD models and manufacturing drawings
- Lead the specification and implementation of electronic and embedded system hardware and software
- Lead the control system design and specification of servo based systems
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary development team including mechanical, software and systems engineers
- Participate in product testing and qualification efforts
- Identify equipment and materials needed for production and product testing
- Design, prototype, test, and implement new manufacturing processes and recommend current process improvements
- Review applicable non-conformance reports and identify solutions to resolve issues as part of corrective / preventive action process
- Support and adhere to all safety and environmental regulations & policies
- Collaborate with other Rheinmetall sites and operations around the world
- Support the VP Engineering by performing other assigned duties
