Responsibilities:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a mid-level engineer, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our Linux-based infrastructure. You will collaborate with various teams to support large-scale environments, automate workflows, and ensure system reliability and scalability. This role requires a strong foundation in Linux systems, network infrastructure, and automation tools.
Design, implement, and maintain robust Linux-based infrastructure solutions to support business needs.
Manage and optimize server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and configuration management tools like Ansible, or SALT.
Support infrastructure for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises environments, ensuring integration and smooth operation.
Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools to deploy and manage resources.
Troubleshoot complex system and network issues, identifying root causes and implementing long-term solutions.
Collaborate with Core Infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with best practices and business goals.
Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Proxmox, optimizing resource allocation and performance.
Ensure system security by implementing hardening practices, managing firewalls, and monitoring for vulnerabilities.
Provide documentation and technical guidance for system configurations, processes, and operational procedures.
Qualifications:
Required:
6 Years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or a related discipline, or a Master’s Degree with 4 Years experience or a Ph.D with zero years
DOD 8570 IAT Lever 2 Cert or higher
Desired:
RHCSA or equivalent certification

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$85,800 - $180,200
