What You’ll Get to Do:
Seeking an experienced network engineer to support mission systems. You’ll be a seasoned network engineer performing a wide variety of duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades and general support for Cisco equipment. You will be a network professional capable of applying sound engineering practices, good judgement, and technical acumen to achieve both short and long terms goals as established by the client.
As a network engineer you will, perform services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks. Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents. Demonstrate experience with networking fundamentals such as, general LAN/CAN/WAN administration, VPNs, VTCs, firewalls, schedules conversions and cutovers, etc. Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.
More About the Role:
- Provide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architecture.
- Configure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end components.
- Perform maintenance and upgrades of networks including routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, hardware and networks.
- Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies while maintaining system backs ups and recovery capabilities.
- Understand the OSI model and its use to help visualize how the network communicates along with troubleshooting network problems.
- Demonstrated experience with network monitoring tools.
- Proactive monitoring of all network devices, service and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability and continuity of operations.
- Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring tools. Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
- Implement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load-balancing, Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) TDMA IP-based satellite systems, Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) session performance, VPN’s, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a technical discipline and a minimum of ten to 20 years of experience as a Network Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity. Four (4) years of additional experience in Network Engineering can be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Security+ related Certification
- Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M is required.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Experience with VISIO, Network Mapping, Wiring diagrams, PCap Grabs, Palo Alto
A “TS/SCI with Poly” clearance is required to begin employment. For this position, CACI has the ability to provide clearance sponsorship for qualified individuals.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$109,800 - $241,600
