Full Stack Developer, Cybersecurity

Location:

The ideal candidate for this position is located in the Tampa Bay or surrounding area and is excited about supporting our positive hybrid work environment (3days/week in office, 2days/week remote). Candidates with exceptional skillset residing outside the Tampa Bay area will also be considered.

Job Summary: 

The Full Stack Developer will develop and implement cloud-based solutions on an AWS platform. This person will work with a full stack engineer. This position requires collaboration and ingenuity in working on AWS-backed web applications. This person should be passionate about designing, programming, testing, and maintaining web application solutions both in an individual as well as a collaborative manner and be willing to gain knowledge as well as share it.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

Write efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
Design scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform for front-end (Typescript/JS/React ) and back-end application (Python) adhering to best practices and architectural guidelines.
Develop and implement cloud-native applications and services using AWS services, such as, AWS Lambda, S3, EC2, RDS, and other serverless technologies.
Develop and implement scalable and efficient data storage and retrieval mechanisms using AWS database services utilizing PostgreSQL.
Full stack developer will provision, configuration, and deploy utilizing AWS cloud native CI/CD tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the applications meet the business requirements.
Keep up to date with the latest AWS technologies and trends.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no direct supervisory responsibility. 

Expected Hours of Work:

This position is intended to be full-time, 40 hours/week.

Travel:

Little to no travel is expected for this position.

Preferred Experience: 

Experience building web applications in AWS.
Experience in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, CloudWatch, Cloud Formation, and IAM.
Experience in implementing scalable and highly available architectures in AWS, leveraging services like VPC, ELB, Auto Scaling, and Route 53.
Knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance technologies and concepts.
Familiar with cybersecurity stack technologies such as firewalls, EDR and XDR.
Understanding of Security Operations Center (SOC) functions is a strong plus.

Education, Experience, Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field preferred.
Proficient full stack developer utilizing code such as Python, JavaScript, Typescript, PostgreSQL, React, CDK, and other scripting solutions (minimum 4 years of code writing experience).
Experience with Windows/Linux Command line interfacing.
Ability to manage time and be flexible with changes to a workday schedule (team agility).
Knowledge of the agile software development methodology and DevOps processes.
