This position requires in-depth technical knowledge of Cisco routers, switches and Access points. Network security: Checkpoint, Juniper SRXs. Network monitoring, baselines and performance tuning; Solarwinds, Orion- NCM, NPM and Netflow (Network tuning- packet shapers; Exinda). Cisco Nexus load balancers. Juno OS, 1OS, NX-OS and fiber optics.
Strong fundamental knowledge of communication protocols; TCP/IP, UDP, DHCP, DNS, SLP, SNMP, HSRP, Multicast routing, EIGRP and VRF.
Identify, troubleshoot and resolve network related issues.
Syslog analysis and network assessment techniques.
Prioritize network troubleshooting and maintenance.
Maintain network security (e.g. ACL's) for users, switches and routers.
