We are seeking an IT Network Engineer to work between our Manhattan and Jackson Heights locations.
Position Summary: Working under APICHA IT, the IT Network Engineer guides APICHA in the planning process, analyzes key business initiatives and information needs which support, influence and transform business operations and tactics assisting in the overall leadership, planning, development and project management of the information technology infrastructure of APICHA; for collaborating with other departments in evaluating and implementing new technologies to ensure compatibility with existing systems and congruency with the long-term goals of APICHA; for managing network security and assisting in disaster recovery planning in accordance with best industry practice; and for assisting in the development of short- and long-range plans and updating these plans as new technologies develop. The IT Network Engineer will also serve as a back-up to the IT department team as needed.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/MIS required. High School diploma with a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant IT work experience may be considered; 5+ years of professional experience analyzing and applying information security risk, risk management, and privacy practices. Experience working in a Healthcare environment strongly preferred; 5+ years of experience working with national and international regulatory compliance frameworks such as ISO, SOX, PCI preferred; Working knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH strongly preferred; People and Vertical management in projects, leading teams, and direct reports in a growing environment; An ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of enterprise stakeholders; Strong decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate one; Understanding of security in Cloud environments and a demonstrated understanding of the technical aspects of information security, such as network security, infrastructure security, and application security. Familiarity working in an environment that supports an EHR (eClinicalWorks specifically), strongly preferred; Demonstrated experience and knowledge of current practices and technologies in technology infrastructure, including network administration, complex multi-location networks, cybersecurity systems administration, and network hardware components such as switches/routers/firewalls, network and VoIP design and security, and recent experience in helpdesk level user support; Demonstrated experience and knowledge of systems and server administration, server virtualization, storage virtualization, and technical client services administration including Microsoft Server technologies, Active Directory environment, knowledge of NAS, iSCSI and similar storage environments required; Exceptionally self-motivated with a superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities; Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment; Strong understanding of security requirements in a Healthcare setting; Strong technical management skills in overseeing security assessments of external service providers, providing security guidance, and overseeing mock security breach exercises; Knowledge of computer networks, hardware, operating systems, and software including understanding of application and patch development required; Ability to work in diverse cultural environment in professional manner required; Ability to initiate and work independently and be a good leader; Willing to work night and/or weekends as needed required; Willing to commute in multiple sites of organization and off-site meetings as needed required.
