JOB DESCRIPTION: Our organization is looking for a Network Technician who can offer quality support to internal team members over the phone, via email, through live chat and in person. The Network Technician will troubleshoot software and hardware issues to determine where repairs need to be made and then plan those repairs with the IT Director. This individual will also be tasked with maintaining computer hardware, software, and data communications equipment, and supporting end users in the use of such equipment. The successful applicant will also be responsible for ensuring that all cable connections, from building to building, are intact and offer a complete flow of data.
ESSESNTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Installing equipment for data communications networks including servers, switches or wireless access points, MiFi devices etc.
- Configuring, Maintaining and updating our Meraki Cloud, 3rd party VoIP, Azure Ad, Carousel, Exchange 365, JAMF systems, Sonos firewall, Mac laptop and Windows builds.
- Trouble-shooting issues regarding Office 365, Google Suite, connectivity, computer hardware, and software (Mac and Windows).
- Partner with IT team to ensure the security of our data.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Field questions from employees about software installation and hardware upgrades
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Demonstrated knowledge of current products and services available and applicable to
- AN/WAN and data communications systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computing systems, electronics, and software management required to manage, and trouble-shoot high performance client server network applications.
- Ability to work effectively with personnel on all levels.
- Proficiency in Layer 2 and 3 switching, routing protocols, and wireless networks.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related field
- 3+ years' experience in an IT support role
- Able to lift to 50 lbs. without assistance
Annual Salary: $65,000
