Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer to join our team. This role involves close collaboration with development teams to deliver, monitor, and scale our SaaS applications and microservices, with a focus on high availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DevOps, particularly within AWS environments. You will evaluate current technologies, design future solutions, and help build deployment infrastructure to streamline application deployment processes. This is a full-time position with the flexibility to work from our offices in Canton, OH, or Minneapolis, MN, with remote and hybrid options available.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of our AWS Cloud infrastructure using technologies such as EKS (Kubernetes), Docker, Karpenter, EC2, S3, Aurora, Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Gitlab, and Jenkins.
- Develop and implement tools for continuous integration, governance, and audit automation.
- Monitor infrastructure performance to ensure system stability and uptime.
- Collaborate with the IT team to enhance reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
- Create and maintain custom scripts to improve system efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Provide expertise in enterprise architecture and digital security.
- Assist developers with server troubleshooting and application configuration issues.
- Diagnose and resolve production outages, conducting root cause analysis.
- Lead production migrations and offer off-hour support for mission-critical applications when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Passion for technology and automation, with a commitment to staying current on industry trends.
- Innovative and creative problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in AWS services and expertise in optimizing AWS expenditure.
- Proven experience with container deployments of web applications (Ruby on Rails, PHP, Node.js, C#).
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Knowledge of tools like Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Istio, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Solr, microservices, message queues and their AWS Managed Service equivalents.
- Deep understanding of multiple monitoring tools for advanced data analysis.
- Strong grasp of DevOps principles and CI/CD technologies.
- Fundamental knowledge of Cloud security best practices, including Zero Trust Architecture.
- Experience with SOC2 compliance is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
