Cloud Migration Engineer
Location: Suitland, MD (3 days onsite)
Clearance: TS/SCI
Job Description:
Assess applications for cloud migration; Design and architect cloud solutions; Develop and execute migration strategies; Integrate on-premises systems with cloud; Configure and manage cloud services; Implement CI/CD pipelines; Monitor and optimize cloud performance; Collaborate with teams; Provide guidance to junior members; Stay current with cloud technologies and trends
Responsibilities:
Provides assessment of existing solutions and infrastructure to migrate to the cloud
Plan, deliver, and implement application and data migration with scalable, high-performance solutions using third-party tools and public cloud technologies driving next generation business outcomes. Building clients’ cloud platforms, pipelines, and tooling; communicating with technical stakeholders and understanding the relevant engineering methods, tools, and technologies. Designing detailed technical solutions (eg. what tools and how), implementation, engineering best practices, and cloud/DevOps engineering work
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, IT, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and integration;
- AWS Cloud Associate Certifications
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages
- Strong expertise in at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP);
- Experience with cloud migration tools and methodologies;
- Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools;
- Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, and middleware technologies;
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms;
- Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices;
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills;
- Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities;
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph
