As a Principal Architect at JPMorgan Chase within Infrastructure Platforms, you provide expertise to enhance and develop architecture platforms based on modern cloud-based technologies, as well as support the adoption of strategic global solutions. Leverage your advanced architecture capabilities and collaborate with colleagues across the organization to drive best-in-class outcomes.
Job responsibilities
- Advises cross-functional teams on technology selection to achieve target state architecture and decisions on improvements to current technologies
- Develops multi-year roadmaps aligned with business and architecture strategy and priorities
- Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design
- Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert
- Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
- Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that improves velocity and quality of output across teams and functions
- Champions the firm’s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience
- Proven experience in architecting solutions for cloud migrations
- Demonstrated experience in crafting well-architected designs, application development, testing, resiliency and operational stability to utilize the capabilities of cloud computing for applications
- Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex architecture problems across various technical disciplines
- Extensive practical cloud native experience and tools, such as Terraform
- Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best technology solutions and approaches to achieve the future state architecture
- Ability to present and effectively communicate to Senior Leaders and Executives
- Deep knowledge of major public cloud platforms, ideally with AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or equivalent professional level or specialty certifications
- Deep understanding of Container / Kubernetes based architectures
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Deep technical architecture experience with demonstrated increases in responsibility
- Awareness and practical experience with implementing Resiliency and FinOps practices
