POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain CMMS software – Micromain or equivalent
- Oversee and continually improve the SCH preventive maintenance program.
- Manage predictive maintenance program; vibration analysis, oil analysis etc…
- Monitor and report Key Productivity Indicators that evaluate the equipment by monitoring daily PI report, look for opportunities within CMMS to identify Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) and use this information to proactively develop countermeasures and corrective actions.
- Perform root cause analysis of failures and suggest improvements.
- Collect data and track equipment downtime.
- SOP improvements by reviewing existing documentation and creating new procedures to improve flow and repeatability. Modify existing equipment or design new parts to improve performance as part of RCA investigation.
- Manage all print documentation, including updates to PDF’s and CAD drawings.
- Support the maintenance and production department as needed.
- Ensures safe working environment and procedures are in place and followed.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Responsible for reporting food packaging safety problems to plant management.
- In the incumbent’s absence these responsibilities will be transferred to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent computer skills, proficient with MS Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
- Basic understanding of extrusion and thermoforming processes.
- Experience with CMMS software, preferably Micromain.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques.
- Strong problem solving and analytical abilities.
- Self-motivated individual with keen interest in continuous improvement.
- Must be trained in and follow company policies on GMP, sanitation, pre-requisite programs, chemical control and food safety plans and policies.
- Must be competent to carry out food packaging safety and quality responsibilities.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization.
- Good interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
EXPERIENCE:
The position of Reliability Engineer requires 3 – 5 years experience in a maintenance department at a manufacturing environment. Experience with AutoCAD, CMMS software, and equipment reliability is needed.Experience in thermoforming and extrusion is a plus.
EDUCATION:
B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, etc.).
