eSimplicity is looking for a Senior Cloud Data Architect. In this role, you will lead the solutions and technical implementation of a modern data pipeline and/or machine learning/analytics pipeline for large programs that impact millions of Americans. You will be responsible and/or influencing the planning, strategies, roadmaps, design and development, timelines, data migration steps/sequence, etc. You should have the ability to consider the business operation schedule and impact as a result of the cloud modernization and migration effort. You should also fully understand continuous integration and delivery practices. The ideal candidate is a great listener, has the ability to learn different existing systems, and define a strategy to migrate to the cloud. Hands-on experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and enhance data pipeline, cloud infrastructure and workflows for new and existing Data Ops and/or Data Analytics programs that cover functions
- Enhance the existing data processing infrastructure by rewriting/migrating on-premises workflows to run on cloud-native infrastructure and technologies
- Collaborate with agile development teams, provide development guidance and remove technical roadblocks in supporting the agile development.
- Provide guidance and/or architecture of a full DevSecOps pipeline in support of the data pipeline development
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or other related technical field
- Strong knowledge of data structures, data pipelines, algorithms, and cloud model designs
- 10 years of experience in developing and deploying serverless applications on a private/public cloud solution
- Experience working with modern data pipeline tools including but not limited to: Snowflake Databricks, Kafka
- Experience architecting and migrating on-premises applications into a cloud platform
- Experience with AWS cloud-based services
- Experience interfacing with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in computer Science, engineering, or IT related field
- AWS cloud certifications
- Experience taking data from multiple data sources including mainframe data to the cloud
- Experience in the Big Data stack and tools
