Entry pay - $32.18-$35.47 depending on experience. Based on a maximum of 7 years' experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include the following
: Infrastructure: - Assists with administration of the wide-area network, hardware, circuits and carrier relations.
- Avaya, CenturyLink, Cisco
- Assists with administration of the firewall, intrusion detection system and security systems.
- SonicWall, LightSpeed Systems, Citrix Access Gateway
- Assist with updates and modifications with the LAN/WAN network hardware, software and services.
- Avaya, Cisco, VLANs, Subnetting, Cat5&6/Fibre termination and punch down, Voice Analog cabling and termination, making/testing of cables, LeftHand
- Installs, updates and modifies Wireless network hardware, software and services.
- Available for some weekend, early morning or night work.
- Works with technology department in acquiring and supporting hardware and software purchased.
- Assist with evaluation of LAN/WAN performance and capacities to identify problem areas or bottlenecks.

Operations: - Installs and/or assists, updates and modifications on all server environments.

- Recommends and implements solutions, software packages and tools to increase productivity.
- Group Policy, Templates, Scripting
- Coordinate standards for district technology purchases.
- Specify required equipment.
- Assists with overall web administration
- Install, update and modify all desktop hardware and software services.
- Citrix (all applications within) and all applications used in the district (many), SCCM, OSX, Win7, Win8.1, Chrome
- Windows Active Sync, Google
- Monitor and resolve all Help Desk assigned requests
- Provide support for remote users, both staff and student (possible shift work)
- Provide support for Audio Visual, different presentation methods

- Oversees, designs and administers premise security cameras
- Backup, Archive, Retrieval,
- Knowledge of all devices related to door entry, camera, card access

- Works with Curriculum Department and Media Services on integration of ET/IL
- Assist facilities department on technology related to monitoring of mechanical systems

QUALIFICATIONS: - Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) in Computer Science or related field from four-year college or university; or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong interpersonal, technical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Must be service oriented and convey technical information clearly.
- Experience in administration, support and design of LAN/WAN systems.
- Experience with cable creation and termination for computer/telephony environments
- Excellent understanding of Internet Protocol.
- Experience with SNMP and MIBv2
- Experience with layer 2/layer 3 switching and routing protocols
- Working knowledge and experience in installing, securing, maintaining and supporting LAN/WAN systems and wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n systems.
- Experience with networking software and monitoring systems and/or sniffer applications.
- Experience in administration, support and design of voice/telephone systems primarily Nortel.
- Advanced MSOffice Skills.
- Intermediate Windows, database, Networking and IOS skills

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract concrete variables. Ability to analyze and use data to supervise the delivery of instruction and the school improvement process.
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Proficient use of technology which includes: basic operations and concepts, word processing, spread sheets, internet usage, critical evaluation of information, data analysis, email, integration of technology.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in education. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to copy, coordinate, instruct, evaluate and negotiate.
